Curated an Art Exhibition called Caesura with my fellow classmates which included the works of 34 Students in their final year of the Waterloo Fine Arts program. We individually worked for 8 months each carefully researching and designing our final piece.
My research was on the effect of social media and influencer culture, focusing on the portrayal of the Kardashian-Jenners on the popular app Instagram.
The final Piece I created was called 'American Royalty' and it was a series of light boxes with colourful led strips changing colour in the background. The left light-box is a digital portrait I painted of Kylie Jenner with slight 'glitches' painted throughout and a red backlight. The Middle piece is a series of Instagram Pictures from Kyle and Kendall Jenner collaged to look like the American Flag. The light-box on the right was a digital portrait I painted of Kendall Jenner, also with a 'glitch' painted throughout.
